Nathan Griffin

Mr. Griffin is in his third full year at Francis Howell Central High School.  Before taking the job at Central he was the band director at Brentwood High School and served as percussion instructor at St. Charles West.  Mr. Griffin is a 2004 graduate of the University of Missouri at Columbia. He earned a bachelor’s degree in music education and student taught in the Macon School District.  At Francis Howell Central High School, Mr. Griffin directs the Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band, Concert Band, Jazz Ensemble, Jazz Band, Pit for the school musicals, Spartan Regiment Marching Band, and A-Band (basketball band).  He also assists with the Fall and Winter Drum lines.



Andy Messerli

Mr. Messerli attended Eastern Illinois University in Charleston, Illinois, where he studied music education and the euphonium.  In 2006, he received his Bachelor of Music degree and took a position as band director at Casey Middle School in Mt. Vernon, IL.  At the end of the year, he accepted a graduate assistantship at Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green, Ohio.  There, he was responsible for working with the Concert and University Bands, Wind Symphony, the Falcon Marching Band, the A-Band, assisting with conducting classes, as well as other duties as needed.  After graduating with a Masters in Music Education, Mr. Messerli accepted his current position with the Francis Howell School District, where he is responsible for 6th grade piano, assisting with 6th grade band at Saeger Middle School, and assisting with Central High School bands.    



Shannon Crepps

Mrs. Crepps attended Truman State University in Kirksville, Missouri.  She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in May of 2004 in Music with an Instrumental Emphasis.  Mrs. Crepps also completed a Master of Arts in Education degree at Truman State University in August of 2005.  After graduation, she taught at Barnwell Middle School and Bryan Middle School for one year as their Assistant Band Director.  In August of 2006, she accepted the position as Director of Bands at Saeger Middle School.  The same year, she also joined the Spartan Regiment Marching Band staff where she serves as Assistant Marching Band Director.  She is currently in her sixth year of teaching in the Francis Howell School District.

Drake Melson

Mr. Melson has been a marching percussion instructor since 2006, and has spent the last three years on staff with the Edmond Memorial High School Marching Band in Edmond, Oklahoma. Over his career, he has performed or worked with numerous ensembles including; The Americanos Drum and Bugle Corps, The Bluecoats Drum and Bugle Corps, The Colts Drum and Bugle Corps, The Crossmen Drum and Bugle Corps, Edmond Memorial High School, Edmond North High School, Memphis Sound Drum and Bugle Corps, Gateway Indoor, Parkway South High School, The Pride of Oklahoma Marching Band, and Putnam City North High School.  Mr. Melson received his Bachelor’s of Arts Degree in Sociology from the University of Oklahoma. He currently works with Gateway Indoor of St. Louis, Missouri and The Crossmen Drum and Bugle Corps of San Antonio, Texas.


Matt Mueller
 
Mr. Mueller graduated from Fort Zumwalt North High School and now is attending Lindenwood University for a degree in Music Education. He has previously arranged and composed music for the Lindenwood Marching Band, Fort Zumwalt North High School Band , and Fort Zumwalt North High School Orchestra and continues to compose for various ensembles. Matt played vibraphone for Freedom Percussion in the 2009/2010 season and was one of the inaugural members. At Francis Howell Central, Matt works with the front ensemble.
